class="wp-caption-text">Tour De France 2011 DVD - now available for order through MrCyclingWorld!

Who will ever forget:

Mark Cavendish took a remarkable 5 stage victories and cemented his name in the books as one of the all time great road cycling sprinters.

Norwegian Thor Hushovd showed us why he is the World Champion when he convincingly won a mountain stage in the Pyrenees.

Johnny Hoogerland: The relatively unknown Dutchman became an overnight superstar of world cycling… after being involved in a crash whereby one of the convoy cars hit Juan Antonia Flecha, throwing Hoogerland into the barbed wire fence. With lacerations noticeably visible, he soldiered on and continued to animate the race.

Local hero Thomas Voeckler wowed the French fans as he desperately hung on to the leaders Yellow Jersey through the mountains. Not considered a threat overall, with only a few days to go in the three week Tour, suddenly he was a real contender to win overall. The French were hopeful, could Tommy do it?

On the famous Alpe d’Huez mountain stage, Voeckler lost contact with the front group and his maillot jaune dream was over. In the meantime his teammate and fellow country-man Pierre Rolland. Meanwhile Jerome Pineau desperately saught a stage win, and while he was not successful in his bid for glory his courage and determination ensured the hearts of French women were captivated in the sport of cycling once again.

In the final time-trial Cadel Evans blew his rivals out of the water, namely Voeckler and the Schleck brothers, and became the first Australian winner of the Tour de France.
<p

In what was truely a sensational Tour de France – this time for all the right reasons – the 2011 TdF Highlights DVD is something you will regret not getting and keeping forever.

We have the official Australian version of the <a

That’s right, you cannot find them anywhere else!

Our normal supplier in Italy simply told us it was impossible to get them. Unlike most teams, BMC – or perhaps more specifically Hincapie Sportswear, the manufacturer – did not get them made out of the factory well known to produce them in Italy. Instead they were made in Colombia. Interesting we thought. So it lead us on a chase. And eventually one of our contacts found a limited number for us to sell to you guys!

Stock is extremely limited and with only 3 weeks to go before the Tour de France (can you believe that??), you’d better get in quick!

This is your chance to own a genuine BMC product and support an Aussie hero.

An Australian World Champion, Winning a Spring Classic? style="text-align: left;">So this morning when we woke up to the news that Cadel Evans had won the hilly Belgian classic Fleche Wallonne, I nearly dropped off my seat. A world champion, winning a Belgian spring classic and it’s an Aussie? AWESOME!

Here’s a bit of video from Sporza coverage, complete with Flemish commentary just because I think it sounds so much better. Enjoy, I know we at MrCyclingWorld sure did.
<p
